Psychiatry is the medical specialty devoted to the study, diagnosis, treatment, and prevention of mental disorders. Psychiatric assessment typically starts with mental status examination and the compilation of a case history.
Psychological tests and Physical examination may be conducted, including on occasions the use of Neuroimaging and other Neurophysiologic techniques. The combination of Psychiatric medication and Psychotherapy is the most common mode of psychiatric treatment. Current practices also include widely ranging variety of other modalities such electroconvulsive therapy and lobotomy.

We are actively working on an exclusive Autism Treatment Center , a one of its kind in the United States.
Autism diagnosis and prevalence is on the rise in the Unite States and there are very limited resources and treatment centers available exclusively to treat Autism.

SPECT Imaging for Psychiatric Disorders
Dr. Malik is also an expert on SPECT imaging for psychiatric disorder. Dr. Malik spent 5 years at Amen Clinics in Reston, Virginia from 2008 and 2013 where he saw Adults and Children and was the lead Child Psychiatrist.
FMRC is considering adding SPECT imaging to its practice in early 2016
Dr. Malik utilized SPECT imaging to treat patients with various psychiatric disorders. He has hundreds of very satisfied patients who underwent SPECT imaging to help with their psychiatric condition(s). Hyperbaric Oxygen Treatment
FMRC is keeping a close watch on Hyperbaric Oxygen Treatment or HBOT to target conditions like PTSD, Chronic Fatigue Syndrome, Traumatic Brain Injury, and Autism.
Even though at this time HBOT has not been cleared by FDA for PTSD or Autism, however it should be noted that several clinicians and centers across the United States are successfully using HBOT to treat patients with impressive results.
